BOCA RATON, Fla. - The third-ranked Nova Southeastern Sharks Men's Basketball team won its fourth consecutive Sunshine State Conference game, defeating the Lynn Fighting Knights 109-93 on Wednesday night at the de Hoernle Sports & Cultural Center.
MJ Iraldi paced the Sharks in the effort, scoring a career-best 30 points, while shooting 13-15 from the field and grabbing nine rebounds.
Trey Doomes added 24 points, another career-best, and shot 10-15 in the contest.

First Half -
Isaiah Fuller,
MJ Iraldi and
Trey Doomes provided the early offense for the Sharks, as the trio combined to score each of the first 13 points for NSU and opened the game on a 13-3 run. Lynn was able to cut the NSU advantage to 20-15 before Iraldi finished off an and-one opportunity and
Ryan Davis added a layup, getting the lead back to double-digits.
Tommy Sala and
Mike Moore each knocked down a three-pointer for the Sharks, extending the advantage to 31-17 over the Fighting Knights. Later in the half, Iraldi maintained the hot shooting stroke, scoring five consecutive points for NSU, putting the Sharks ahead 55-44. Nova Southeastern went into the break leading 57-46.
Second Half -
Shane Hunter began the second half by scoring the six straight points for the Sharks, extending the NSU advantage to 63-48 over Lynn. Doomes followed by adding six consecutive points of him own, with two buckets coming off a pair of fast break opportunities.
Ryan Davis finished an and-one and also added another two free throws, giving the Sharks a 76-55 lead. Following the midway point of the second half, Iraldi put two more points on his ledger, finishing a fast break layup off an assist from Doomes, extending the advantage to 92-70. Nova Southeastern held off Lynn the rest of the way and reclaimed sole possession of first place in the Sunshine State Conference with the 109-93 victory,

No. 3 Nova Southeastern will travel to St. Petersburg, Fla., on Saturday, February 3, beginning the push for the Sunshine State Conference regular season title by taking on Eckerd. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m.
