PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern women's soccer team fell short in Sunday afternoon's NCAA Tournament second-round matchup against the University of West Florida Argonauts 2-1 from the UWF Soccer Complex.

• It was a defensive battle for the first 15 minutes of the match before a goal from Alexa Bereczki gave the Sharks a 1-0 lead in the 20th minute. 

• NSU continued to stay aggressive defensively to keep a 1-0 lead heading into halftime. 

• West Florida struck in the 59th minute to tie the game at 1-1. 

• The Argonauts scored again in the 64th minute to take a 2-1 advantage.  

• The Sharks continued to fight but could not overcome the deficit, falling short 2-1 in a hard-fought battle. 
   

The Sharks have concluded their 2024 season with an 8-6-4 overall record.
