FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The second-ranked Nova Southeastern Sharks Women's Tennis team improved to 2-0 on the season by defeating the Tampa Spartans 7-0 in Sunshine State Conference play on Saturday morning from the NSU Tennis Complex at Rolling Hills.

• Natalie Espinal and Freya Davies defeated Victoria Sanchez and Julie Ball 6-0
• Lian Benedejcic and Sofia Shing beat Kristina Miletic Nicole Cierniak 6-1
• Alexandra Weir teamed with Patricie Kubikova to win against Savannah Williams and Anine Wilberg 6-3

Singles

• Natalie Espinal was victorious against Sanchez 6-0, 6-3
• Alexandra Weir defeated Ball in three sets 3-6, 6-4, 1(10)-0(8)
• Freya Davies won against Williams 6-4, 7(8)-6(6)
• Lian Benedejcic beat Nicole Casas 6-3, 6-1
• Sofia Shing was victorious against Cierniak, without dropping a set, 6-0, 6-0
• Ita Habekovic closed out the match sweep with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Wilberg
