FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern Sharks Baseball team defeated Sunshine State Conference rival Barry 9-2 in a non-conference midweek match-up on Tuesday night at the NSU Baseball Complex.

Barry started the scoring with an RBI single in the top of the second inning.
Kristian Noriega tied the game at 1-1 with an RBI double, driving in
Tyson Cooper.
The Sharks plated a pair of runs in the bottom half of the fifth, taking a 3-1 lead over the Buccaneers.
Barry scored their second run of the game in the top of the seventh inning, putting the score at 3-2.
NSU broke the game open with a four-run bottom of the seventh inning, taking a 7-2 lead.
Zeth Rodriguez drove in Boris Pena with an RBI single, which was followed by another RBI base hit from
Ryan Cainzos.
Later in the inning, both Rodriguez and Cainzos came into score on wild pitches, capping off the four-run frame.
Pena added another pair of runs for NSU, sealing the Sharks 9-2 win over Barry.
