Lokeinsky Named Rawlings Gold Glove Recipient

LOUISVILLE, KY.- In her first season as Shark, Brenna Lokeinsky made her presence felt both offensively and defensively. Lokeinsky's stellar defensive play at shortstop earned her the 2024 NCAA DII Rawlings Gold Glove award.

Recipients of the Rawlings Gold Glove Award, presented by the NFCA, were selected by the NFCA's NCAA Division II All-America Committee, following regional voting to identify the finalists at each position. The group utilized fielding statistics and school-submitted video to closely examine finalists and select the winners at every defensive position. Any student-athlete that competed in the current championship year and was nominated by their head coach who is a member in good standing with the NFCA was eligible for consideration for this prestigious accolade.

Lokeinsky, an All-SSC Defensive team selection played a pivotal role in the Sharks success this season. The Cooper City native ranked sixth in the league in fielding double plays (10) and third on the team in put outs (108). Offensively, she finished tied for second on the team in home runs (4) and RBIs (35).
