Livingston, AL  - A second-half goal from Alexa Bereczki and a dominant showing from the Sharks' defense led the way to a gritty NSU victory. The Nova Southeastern Sharks take down the University of West Alabama Tigers 1-0 on Sunday Afternoon at the UWA Track & Soccer Complex.

• The Sharks were active early against the Tigers with four shots on net in the first half, including Maria Jansen's shot that hit the post in the 8th minute. 

• In the 55th minute, Alexa Bereczki put one in the back of the net to give the Sharks a 1-0 lead.

• NSU's defense continued to hold on the rest of the game, fighting off the Tigers aggressive offensive attack. 

Nova Southeastern would go on to secure the 1-0 victory over the Tigers
 

    
   
Coach Amy Vaughan - Good result away from home under very difficult conditions. The girls stuck together and came out with a clean sheet and ended the trip very well.

The Sharks will be back in action this Saturday, Sep. 21 at the NSU Soccer Complex as they take on Florida Tech at 7:00 p.m.
