FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern women's soccer team opened their 2024 campaign at the Leo Goodwin Field. The Sharks were defeated by the Mississippi College Choctaws 1-0 in a defensive battle.

●    The Choctaws struck early in the 4th minute, scoring the first goal of the game.
●    At 22:50, Alexa Bereczki had a great opportunity to score but nearly missed, hitting the left post. 
●    The rest of the game featured a defensive battle as both teams remained scoreless.

The Choctaws ultimately secured the victory over NSU 1-0.



Coach Amy Vaughan - Tough opening day against a very good Mississippi College side. It gave us lots of opportunities to learn and get better. 



Nova Southeastern will be back in action on Saturday, September 7th at 7:00 pm as they travel to Winter Park, FL to take on the Rollins Tars.
