First Half – The Eagles jumped out to an early 6-0 lead before a three-pointer from Corina Conley put the Sharks first points on the board. Both teams continued to trade baskets throughout the rest of the quarter as Embry-Riddle held onto a 16-11 lead heading into the second quarter. With 3:43 left to play in the second, Aubrey Stupp took matters into her own hands, going on her own 10-0 run to put the Sharks ahead 31-24. NSU's defense persistently posed problems for the Eagles as they took a 36-28 advantage going into the halftime break.
Second Half – Jess Moors jump-started a 9-4 Shark run to kick off the second half, putting NSU ahead 47-32. The Eagles weren't going away just yet, clawing their way back and cutting the Sharks lead to 50-48 as they headed into the final frame. It was all Embry-Riddle in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Sharks 26-19, and ultimately securing tonight's top 25 victory 74-69 despite NSU's late surge.

Head Coach LeAnn Freeland-Curry - Embry-Riddle was the tougher team for about 25 minutes today. They are a very good team and play together very well. We needed to be sharper overall and more disciplined with our defensive execution in the final 15 minutes of the game.

Nova Southeastern will return to the Shark Tank on Wednesday, January 29th, for a matchup against SSC foe Lynn. Tip-off is set for 5:30 PM.
