FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern men's soccer team took down the Tampa Spartans on Wednesday night from the NSU Soccer Stadium. NSU was led by goals from Santiago Hoyos Lopez (2) and Toga Katsuma (1).

• Tampa got the action started with a quick goal in the second minute 

• NSU answered in the 26th minute with a goal by Hoyos Lopez (assisted by Aidan Marshall King) to tie the match at one apiece. 

• Katsuma joined the scoring action  with a goal in the 38th minute to put the Sharks ahead 2-1. 

• The Sharks tacked on another goal for good measure in the 87th minute as Hoyos Lopez earned his second goal of the match (assisted by Toga Katsuma) 

• Tampa wasn't going away yet as they scored their second goal of the match in the 88th minute. 

The Spartans continued to fight but it wasn't enough to overcome the deficit. NSU would go on to secure the 3-2 SSC victory. 

NSU will head on the road to take on the Florida Southern Mocs on Saturday, October 25th. Kick off is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
