FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern University Sharks Volleyball team was defeated by the Eckerd College Tritons in four-sets on Friday evening. The loss snapped a four-match winning streak for the Sharks.

• The Sharks opened the contest with a 5-0 lead, with points from Taylor Stockman, Caiden Largent, and Erika Spankus.
• With an Avery Piatt service ace and a Taylor Stockman kill, the Sharks pushed the lead to 8-2.
• Caiden Largent recorded three consecutive kills in the middle of the set, taking the Sharks advantage to 12-7.
• Gabrielle Spankus and Brantley Chipley each added points to the total as the score reached 15-7.
• The Sharks pushed the lead to 18-11 following a service ace by Avery Piatt.
• The Sharks rallied offensively to close the set, led by Olivia Aniol totaling three points, Erika Spankus added a pair of points, as the Sharks finished the set with a seven-point scoring run and a 25-12 final.
• The second set opened with the Sharks facing a 7-0 deficit.
• The Sharks got on the board with a kill by Erika Spankus, with the score at 9-3.
• Olivia Aniol tallied consecutive kills to cut the deficit in half, with the score at 10-5.
• Caiden Largent recorded three consecutive points for the Sharks as the score reached 14-8.
• The Tritons pushed their lead to 20-9 with back-to-back service aces.
• Caiden Largent and Ella Kern each recorded points late in the set to get the Sharks within single digits with a 23-15 score.

• The Sharks quickly responded with a four-point run led by Taylor Stockman and Olivia Aniol, taking the score to 9-5.
• Gabrielle Spankus, Taylor Stockman, and Olivia Aniol rallied again as the Sharks cut the score to 11-10.
• Olivia Aniol evened the score at 12-12 with back-to-back kills.
• Caiden Largent, Brantley Chipley, and Erika Spankus each recorded points to bring the Sharks back within a point, as the score reached 18-17.
• Erika Spankus tallied consecutive points for the Sharks, taking the score to 22-21.
• The Tritons held on to their lead for the remainder of the set, taking the third set with a 25-21 score.
• The beginning of the fourth set saw the Sharks quickly take a 2-1 lead following a pair of errors.
• The Tritons took the lead and pushed the score to 5-3.
• The Sharks regained the lead at 6-5, following a kill by Olivia Aniol and a combo block by Brantley Chipley and Caiden Largent.
• The Sharks and Tritons exchanged points through the middle of the set, pushing the score to 9-9.
• Erika Spankus and Olivia Aniol recorded a block, as the Sharks took an 11-9 lead.
• The Tritons evened the score at 11-11.
• The Sharks and Tritons exchanged tying points until the score reached 18-18, the Sharks saw points from Taylor Stockman, Olivia Aniol, Gabrielle Spankus, and Caiden Largent.
• The Tritons regained the lead at 20-18 following a pair of errors by the Sharks.
• The Tritons held the lead through the remainder of the match, finishing the fourth set with a 25-22 score.
