FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The 2-seed Nova Southeastern Sharks had their season come to an end at the hands of 4-seed Florida Tech, as they fell 1-0 in the NCAA South Region Championship on Sunday. The Panthers scored first, and the Sharks generated multiple chances late in the second half but were unable to respond with an equalizer.

- The Sharks were aggressive at the outset, as Freya Jones, Sofia Suarez and Ella Niemela all registered shots on goal in the first 15 minutes.
- The Panthers were also aggressive, as they had a few offside calls in the first half and also got shots on goal from Mia Otero and Nora Oldmark.
- Ultimately, neither team was able to score in the first half, and the score remained deadlocked 0-0 at intermission.
- Liwa Nilsson, Maria Jansen and Suarez registered shots early in the second half, but didn't find the back of the net.
- Lauryn Wood scored a goal at the 62:02 mark on an assist from Katie Ormerod, giving the Panthers a 1-0 lead.
- Ella Niemela, Haley Mettrick, and Freya Jones continued applying pressure, and Oliwia Loeman and Alexa Bereczki also registered shots, but to no avail. Wood's goal ended up being the game-winner, and the Panthers captured the South Region Championship.
Nova Southeastern concludes the 2025 season with a 16-1-4 record, with a 7-0-3 mark in SSC play. They captured the SSC regular-season and Tournament Championships for the first time in program history. Senior

Oliwia Loeman was voted SSC Co-Freshman of the Year, and sophomores

Alexa Bereczki (All-SSC Second Team) also had extremely productive seasons. Head coach
