SAINT LEO, FLA. - The #23 ranked Nova Southeastern women's basketball team dropped today's SSC road matchup against the Saint Leo Lions at the Marion Bowman Activities Center. Aubrey Stupp was the only Shark in double-figures, leading NSU with 12 points.

First Half - Aubrey Stupp jump started an 8-0 Shark run to open up the game. NSU continued to apply pressure on the Lions defense, going up 14-5 after two made free throws by Jess Moors. Saint Leo answered with a 6-0 run to close the quarter and cut their deficit to three points. At the 5:32 mark, the Lions would claim their first lead of the game, going ahead 20-19. The Lions headed into the halftime break with a 26-21 advantage.
Second Half – Saint Leo kicked off the second half with a 6-2 run to extend their lead to 32-23 but five consecutive points from Corina Conley and Kailyn Terrell cut the Sharks deficit to four points. With under 2:40 left to play in the quarter, Aubrey Stupp closed out the scoring for NSU with five straight points cutting Saint Leo's lead to 39-37 heading into the fourth quarter. The final frame featured a back-and-forth affair between both teams but the Sharks couldn't overcome the deficit. Nova Southeastern would drop today's SSC road matchup against the Lions 66-58.

The Sharks will stay on the road and travel to Lakeland on Wednesday, February 19th, for their next matchup against the Florida Southern Mocs. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
