FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The #22 ranked Nova Southeastern softball team split Saturday's SSC doubleheader against the Eckerd Tritons at the NSU Softball Stadium. A big fifth inning propelled the Tritons to the 5-2 game-one victory. The Sharks bounced back in game two, taking down Eckerd 6-1 behind nine strikeouts from Gracelyn Wallace.

BOT 1st – The Sharks struck first off an RBI single by Tori Copeland.
TOP 3rd – Eckerd put their first run on the board to tie the game at one apiece.
TOP 5th – EC picked up where they left off in the third inning, batting in four runs to take a 5-1 lead.
TOP 7th – Copeland earned her second RBI of the game, batting in Russo to bring the Sharks deficit to three runs.
NSU continued to battle but it wasn't enough as the Tritons held on and secured the 5-2 victory in game one of Saturday's doubleheader.

BOT 1st – An error by the Tritons brought a Shark run across home plate, giving NSU the early 1-0 lead.
BOT 3rd – NSU put a flurry of runs on the board thanks to RBIs from Brenna Lokeinsky and Gianna Russo. Russo also scored a run off an error by Eckerd to put the Sharks ahead 4-0.
BOT 4th – Cassidy Patterson and Brenna Lokeinsky batted in one run each respectively to extend NSU's lead to 6-0.
TOP 5th – The Tritons scored their first run of the game to cut their deficit to five runs.
Stellar pitching from Gracleyn Wallace helped ultimately secure the 6-1 victory for NSU.
