#19 Sharks open SSC series against PBA with victory

WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. -The #19 ranked Nova Southeastern Softball team opened up Friday night's SSC series against Palm Beach Atlantic with an impressive 9-1 run-rule victory. Maliyah Lawson and Lauren Margolis led the way with two RBIs a piece.

How it Happened

TOP 1st – An RBI by Tori Copeland brought home the first Shark run of the game. 

TOP 2nd – The Sharks tacked on another run off an error by the Sailfish. Shortly after, Lawson singled to left field, bringing in Cassidy Patterson to push NSU ahead 3-0. 

BOT 2nd – PBA answered with a run to cut their deficit to two.  

TOP 3rd – An error field third inning by PBA allowed two more runs to come through, extending NSU's lead to four runs. 

TOP 4th – RBIs by Margolis and Abbey Moore added two more runs on the board for NSU. 

TOP 5th – Lawson and Margolis continued their stellar play as they both batted in runs to help the Sharks secure a 9-1 lead.
