How it Happened

First Half - Both teams came out exchanging baskets as they were deadlocked at 6 midway through the first quarter. Two quick buckets by PBA pushed them ahead by four but back-to-back baskets by Aubrey Stupp and Alana Ellis kept the Sharks within two. Palm Beach Atlantic then went on a late surge to take a 21-14 lead going into the second quarter. PBA picked up where they left off, knocking down a jump shot to start the scoring in the second quarter. Shortly after, NSU's suffocating defense would lead to the Sharks outscoring PBA 17-4 the rest of the quarter, pushing them ahead 31-27 going into the halftime break.

Second Half - Nova Southeastern kicked off the second half on a 13-2 run which featured baskets from Jess Moors (3), and Corina Conley (10). The Sharks continued to pour it on as a three-pointer by Jess Moors at the 1:30 mark pushed their lead to 21 points. PBA made a last second layup to cut their deficit to 40-57 as they headed into the fourth quarter. NSU continued to apply the pressure defensively, ultimately securing Tuesday night's SSC Quarterfinal matchup against the six-seeded Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish.
