How it Happened

The Sharks started the game on a 9-1 run, capped by Dallas Graziani's and-one which brought the crowd to their feet. The Tritons countered with a quick 5-0 spurt by the first media timeout, but the Sharks then blitzed the Tritons with a 12-0 run over the next two minutes. NSU forced multiple turnovers and went up 21-6 at the 14:20 mark on a layup from Ross Reeves, forcing an Eckerd timeout.

The Sharks continued pressing the issue on defense, and they went up 31-11 at the 9:33 mark on a three-pointer from Bobby Rosenberger III. NSU later went up 48-18 after three consecutive three-pointers from Jamie Qualley at the 2:25 mark, and they led 52-22 at the half. Ross Reeves hit an elbow jumper just before the buzzer to maintain the Sharks' 30-point advantage.

In the second half, the Sharks pushed the lead past 40 points on back-to-back three-pointers from Alex Sessoms and Rosenberger III at the 8:09 mark. Michael Santicola, in his first game active, scored a layup with just over three minutes remaining to go up by 51, and he scored the Sharks' last six points to push them over the 100-point threshold. NSU cruised to the 102-57 victory.
