MELBOURNE, Fla.– Nova Southeastern men's golf junior Elias Mardeni has been named the Sunshine State Conference Golfer of the Week after capturing the individual title at the Copperhead Championship at Innisbrook Golf Resort.

Mardeni delivered when it mattered most, putting together a dominant final round to move past the competition and finish at the top of the individual leaderboard. After entering the final round in contention, Mardeni fired a five under par 65 to finish the tournament at five under par 205. His final round featured an outstanding 30 on the front nine, setting the tone for his run to the championship.

His performance highlighted a strong week for the Sharks, who secured a second place team finish at the Copperhead Championship. Mardeni's individual victory also adds to Nova Southeastern's momentum as the team continues its fall schedule.

The conference recognition marks another accomplishment for Mardeni, who has continued to establish himself among the top players in NCAA Division II golf.

Mardeni and the Sharks are back in action October 19th and 20th at the Citrus Intercollegiate at ChampionsGate Orlando in Orlando, Fla. For the latest updates on Sharks Men's Golf, follow the team on Instagram and X at @NSU_MGolf.
