SURPRISE, AZ. – The third-seeded Nova Southeastern University women's tennis team opened play at the 2026 NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Championship with a 4–1 victory over 14th-seeded Slippery Rock on Tuesday afternoon. With the win, the Sharks advance to the quarterfinals, where they will face the winner of sixth-seeded Augustana (S.D.) and 11th-seeded Midwestern State.

Doubles
- Kristyna Hranacova and Katja Markus opened doubles play with a strong 6-2 victory over Alissia Aleksandra Kivi and Nicole Kempton at the No. 1 spot.
- Priscila Janikian and Jana Boegner sealed the point with a 6-3 victory over Dari Sakhanova and Nadia Rodewald securing the point for the Sharks.
- Noemie Dadoun and Chloe Henderson were dominating with a 5-1 lead against Amaia Balaguer Brau and Leontina Slovak, before the match went unfinished.
Singles
- Amaia Balaguer Brau put SRU on the board with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Kristyna Hranacova at No. 1 singles.
- Katja Markus was leading 6-3, 5-4 over Ali Aleksandra Kivi before the match went unfinished.
- Chloe Henderson also held the advantage, leading 6-4, 4-0 against Nicole Kempton when play was halted.
- Noemie Dadoun evened the momentum for NSU with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 victory over Leontina Slovak.
- Jana Boegner followed with a commanding 6-0, 6-1 win against Dari Sakhanova in the No. 5 spot.
- Amina Sagadiyeva secured another straight-set victory for the Sharks at No. 6 singles, defeating Nadia Rodewald 6-1, 6-1.
