TEMPE, Ariz. – Nova Southeastern Women's Tennis gets three student-athletes named as All-Americans by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) after winning its second national championship in program history.
The ITA's No. 1 ranked player in both singles and doubles since March 11,
Kristyna Hranacova is honored as an ITA All-American for both singles and doubles along with partner
Katja Markus.
It is the second and third All-American honors for the native to Czechia who was also honored as an All-American in her first season with the Sharks in 2024-25, a national runner-up finish for NSU.
Hranacova's doubles partner,
Katja Markus, also earns All-America honors for the first time in her career after finishing the season as half of the No. 1 ranked doubles pairing by the ITA and her efforts in bringing home a 17
th national championship to "The Power in Broward".
Finally,
Chloe Henderson adds her name to the list of NSU All-Americans after rising to No. 20 in the ITA's Singles Rankings to be named an All-American by qualification.
Henderson went 23-6 during the season in singles play and went undefeated in the postseason earning individual wins against opponents from West Florida, Embry-Riddle, Augustana (S.D.) and Grand Valley State.
Hranacova went 27-7 in her singles campaign including a 13-match winning streak from February 20 to April 3. She also helped the Sharks clinch the national championship with a win over Catawba's Sofia Antolini in the National Championship Match.
Markus and Hranacova went 29-4 as a doubles pairing on the season which included an ITA Cup Championship in October which is recognized as the "individuals championship" at the Division II level.
The doubles pair started the season on a 12-match winning streak and went 6-1 in postseason play, which included a perfect 4-0 record at the national tournament in Arizona. Hranacova and Markus beat their opponents at the national tournament by a combined score of 24 games to eight.
The four All-America honors bring Nova Southeastern to 500 All-America honorees in department history with 303 different student-athletes contributing to the historic number.
Markus, Henderson and Hranacova join Sofia Suarez, Roland Nagy, Brielle Buchanan, Sara Dowden, Maxine Egner, Maya Esparza, Viktoriia Kostromina, Zsofia Kurdi, Hannah Montgomery, Mollie Morfelt, Kristina Orban, Emilia Ronningdal, Danika Senekal, Hailey Williams, Dallas Graziani, Ross Reeves and Bruno Marques as NSU's All-Americans in the 2025-26 academic year.
