Biography
AS A JUNIOR (2013)
Received All-South Region honors by both Daktronics, Inc. and the NCBWA, with each giving him second-team nods…Was also chosen second team All-Sunshine State Conference…Batted .320 on the season, leading the Sharks in doubles (13) and on-base percentage (.441), and tying for the team lead in runs scored (40)…His 32 stolen bases (in 35 attempts) led the SSC, and he was second in the conference in walks with 38…Only struck out 13 times in 178 at-bats, and just once was set down on strikes twice in a game…Moved over to SS full-time midway through the season and continued to impress defensively…Led the team in assists with 125 while only committing six errors, for a fielding percentage of .971…Only committed two errors at shortstop…Had five three-hit games and a 13-game hitting streak…Against Columbus State (3/2), scored four runs and went 3-for-5 at the plate with a triple…Had five RBI in win over St. Thomas Aquinas (3/12).
AS A SOPHOMORE (2012)
Was named Co-Sunshine State Conference Player of the Year…Led the team in numerous categories, including batting average (.389), on-base percentage (.480), runs scored (49) and doubles (23), while only committing four errors at 2B (.984 fielding percentage)…Was second on the team with 15 stolen bases and in slugging percentage (.611)…Had five home runs and 26 RBI…Received numerous other postseason honors: ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove 2B, first team All-South Region by both ABCA/Rawlings and Daktronics, Inc., and second team All-American by ABCA/Rawlings, the NCBWA, and Daktronics, Inc.…Had 23 multiple-hit games, including four games with four hits…Also notched a 19-game hitting streak…Started all 50 games, 47 at 2B (the other three at 3B)…Had three hits, including two solo home runs, in a 3-1 win over Saint Leo (4/5)…His 10 total bases that day was an NSU season high…Following the season, was named an all-star in the prestigious Cape Cod League.
AS A FRESHMAN (2011)
Earned the 2011 Sunshine State Conference Freshman of the Year award…Was a Daktronics Inc. All-South Region Second-Team honoree, and All-Sunshine State Conference honoree…Started at second base during the regular season and third base during the South Regional Tournament…Batted .355, good for second on the team…Finished the season with 42 RBI and 51 runs scored…Had a team-high 20 stolen bases in 23 attempts…Went a combined 9-for-18 in a weekend series against Saint Leo (4/15-16)…Went 4-for-7 and scored five runs against Florida Tech (3/19).
HIGH SCHOOL
Played for four years at St. Thomas Aquinas…His senior season he was named First-Team All-Broward County, First-Team All-State, and All-State South MVP…Batted .460 with seven home runs, 24 RBI, and 15 stolen bases.
