AS A SOPH0MORE (2011-2012) 
Honored as an All-American in the 200- backstroke and was awarded All- American Honorable Mention in the 100-backstroke,200-medley relay, and the 400-medley relay... in Swimming in the All-Florida Invitational(10/7-9/2011 )  Davis won the  200-yard backstroke with a time of(1:56.20) … Against Rollins(11/5/2011 ) he swam in the 400- medley relay that  clocked the top time (3:33.53)… At Indian River & Florida International University( 11/12/2011)  he would record a victory for the Sharks during the men’s 200- back (1:56.46). He won with a time of 1:54.43 on the 200-back at Tampa (12/3/2011 ) ….  In the 200-back he posted a B-cut time of 1:50.31  for fourth place in the final at the NSU Shark Invitational …  he came in third place with a team-best time of 53.90 in the 100-back at Grand Valley State (1/2/2012 ) … In the men’s 200- back Josh Davis took the top finish for the Sharks in fifth place with a B-cut finishing time of 1:48.91 at the SSC Championships….Swimming at the Division II NCAA Championships Davis was the top swimmer for NSU in the 200 back event by qualifying for the championship final where he finished 8th overall with a time of 1:48.23.


AS A FRESHMAN (2010-11)
Honored as an All-American in the 400-freestyle relay...Against Florida Atlantic in the men’s 400-yard medley relay NSU’s “A” relay Davis was member of a Sharks relay that finished in a close third at 3:30.0 (10/29/10)…In the 200-yard free he finished fifth at 1:50.26 against Florida Atlantic (10/29/10)…During the 200-yard freestyle against Florida International and Florida Atlantic Davis paced the Sharks with a fourth-place finish (1:48.33) (1/29/11)…In the 100-yard backstoke, Davis (0:53.81) finished third (1/29/11)…Davis set a school record with a time of 1:50.74 to provisionally qualify for the NCAA’s in the 200-yard backstroke (2/17/11)…At the NCAA Division II Swimming Championships Davis picked up a win in the men’s 200-yard backstroke, swimming a time of 1:50.88 in the prelims. He earned a spot in the consolation final where he won the evening heat finishing ninth overall at 1:49.22, a new NSU record, earning nine points for the team (3/9/11).

HIGH SCHOOL
Swam for four years at Huron High School and was a Scholastic All-American.

CLUB EXPERIENCE
Swam for the Mitchell Aquatic club team under Chuck Baechler… In his last season he was a state champion and set the state record in the 100y and 200y backstroke… In 2010 he qualified for the Senior National Winter Meet and the Junior National Summer Meet.

PERSONAL
A computer science major… His most memorable athletic achievement was qualifying for the Senior Nationals… Lists pizza as his favorite food and Finding Nemo as his favorite movie… Son of John and Sheryl Davis and has one brother, Jacob.
