AS A SOPHOMORE (2012-13)
Chapple garnered four All-America and two honorable mentions. Chapple secured All-American status in the 800-yard freestyle relay, 200-yard individual medley, 400-yard individual medley and the 200-yard butterfly. She received All-American honorable mention in the 400-yard freestyle relay and 400-yard medley relay. Chapple was named the Sunshine State Conference Women’s Swimmer of the Meet for her performance in these events in the SSC championships. Chapple earned the award by breaking both the SSC meet record and overall conference record in two events: the 200 and 400-yard individual medley and the 200-yard butterfly with times of 2:02.84, 4:19.75 and 2:02.74 She was also named to the SSC first team. At the Shark Invitational, she came in third in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:09.15. She was fifth and seventh in the 100 and 200-yard backstroke with times of 58.90 and 2:07.41, respectively.
AS A FRESHMAN (2011-12)
Received All-American honors in the 800-freestyle relay and was awarded All-American Honorable Mention in the 200 -butterfly, 200-individual medley, and 400-medley relay...Swam at Saint Leo (10/15/2011) she was first-place time of 2:11.56 in the 200-IM… In the 100-fly she nearly tied the school record reaching in 59.61… Against Indian River & Florida International University she would make it back-to-back NCAA B-qualifying times by a Shark with her second-place finish (2:07.41) in the women’s 200-fly… The 200-fly placed second with a time of 2:10.55 at Tampa (12/3/2011 )…. Swam at the quad meet (1/10/2012 ) she claimed second in the 200- freestyle with a time of 1:54.15… Against Florida Southern ( 1/21/2012 ) she continued her success in the women’s 200- fly with her second victory B-cut time of 2:08.73 with a second-place time of 1:55.71 in the 200-free… Swam in the SSC Championships (2/15-18/2012) she picked up another victory for the Sharks in the 200- fly and her time of 2:03.10 set a new SSC record and met the NCAA provisional qualifying mark...At the NCAA Division II Championships she recorded 2:04.38 in the 200-fly which was good for 17th overall.
CLUB EXPERIENCE
She swam competitively on the Camden Swiss Cottage club team under Dave Hobbs where she competed at the British Championships annually from 2005 to 2010… Qualified for the European Youth Olympic trials in 2005 and in 2006 competed in the Common Wealth Games trials… She swam in the 2007 and 2009 World Championship trials and the Olympic trials in 2008… Over a three year period she had accumulated six gold medals, four silver medals and three bronze for her age group while competing across Europe.
PERSONAL
A business and finance major… Her most memorable athletic achievement was winning her first National age group title when she was 11… Before a race she listens to Run DMC “It's Tricky" as a pre-meet ritual… Her favorite drink is coffee, and her favorite hobby is shopping…. Dubai is her desired vacation hot spot and her favorite movie is listed as The Blind Side… Daughter of Louise Patterson and Neil Chapple and has one sister, Poppy.
