Biography

AS A JUNIOR (2014)

Competed in the varsity-8 boat that won the Henry Backe Trophy in the Dad Vail Regatta… Rowed in the V8 that won the SSC, FIRA and SIRA Championships… Competed in the Miami Six, Rollins Spring Break Race, Central Oklahoma, Barry Duel, FIRA Fall Classic, First Coast Head Race, and NCAA Championships on the V8…Competed in the varsity 4 in the FIRA Fall Classic, Rollins Spring Break Race, FIRA Championships. 


AS A SOPHOMORE (2012-13)
Competed with the Sharks in every event of the season...After competing with the varsity-8 B boat at the Spring Break Race, Scott moved into the main varsity boat for the remainder of the season...Was a member of the V8 boat that won the NCAA Division II National Championship, finishing with a time of 6:42.75...Raced in the varsity-8 at the FIRA Championships, heling the Sharks take the team points title.

AS A FRESHMAN (2011-12)
Selected to the All-SSC Freshman/Novice Team...Placed third in the novice eight at the FIRA Fall Classic (11/12/11)…Rowed as part of the varsity eight squad that placed third (7:11.15) at Central Florida (3/9/12)…Helped crew the Sharks’ varsity eight ‘A’ to a heat victory (6:58.9) at the Governor’s Cup Regatta (3/17/12)…Defeated rival Barry’s varsity eight in a photo finish (8:14.7) on the Intracoastal Waterway (3/31/12)…Rowed to victory with the varsity eight (7:15.2) and varsity four at the FIRA Championships, an event in which the Sharks won the All Points Trophy (4/14/12)…Finished fifth (6:43.1) at the SIRA Championships in the varsity eight race (4/22/12)…Helped NSU capture its fifth SSC Championship, winning the varsity eight (7:22.6) (4/28/12)...Rowed the varsity eight to a third-place finish (6:51.89) NCAA Championships (5/27/12).

HIGH SCHOOL
Attended South Fork High School...Competed on the cross county, soccer and track and field teams for four years...District champions in cross country and soccer...State finalist in cross country and track and field...Was the captain of all three sports as a senior.
