AS A JUNIOR (2012-13)
Honorable mention All-American in the 50-yard freestyle, 200-freestyle relay, 200-yard medley relay, 400-yard medley relay and 400-yard freestyle relay...At the SSC championships, came in second in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 20.40...This was his highest finish of the meet...Came in seventh in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 45.80...Both times were NCAA "B"qualifying times...In the 200-yard freestyle, he came in 12th with a time of 1:44.44.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2011-12)
Representing his home country of Grenada at the 2012 London Olympics, Simpson posted a time of 53.26 in the 100- meter freestyle to win the second heat. That time is a new Grenadian national record, as well as a new NSU long course record. Overall, Simpson placed 43rd out of 60 competitors in the event... Honored as an All-American in the 400-free relay and awarded All-American Honorable Mention in the 200-free relay and 200- medley relay..he won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 21.45 against Tampa (12/3/2011)..At the SSC Championships he was part of the men’s 400-free relay team that posted an NCAA automatic qualifying time, and placed second in the event with a time of 3:00.91… he was the top finisher for NSU in eighth, with a time of 46.75 with a B-cut qualifying time. ..Swimming at the Division II NCAA Championships he swam a 45.87 in the 100- yard free in the prelims. In the championship final, was part of the 400- free relay that swam a time of 3:00.91 and finished eighth overall in the event...he holds school records in the 400-free relay, 200-medley relay and 200-free relay.

Swam for five years at Presentation Brothers College… His senior season he won a gold medal in every race at the inter-high school swim meet… Was the OECS ages 15-17 champion… Graduated with honors in chemistry, information technology and mathematics.
CLUB EXPERIENCE
Swam for the Grenfin swim team… Was voted best role model in the juniors age division.

Biology major with a minor in chemistry… Lists his favorite movies as the Pirates of the Caribbean and Hitch… His favorite actors are Gerard Butler and Eva Mendez… His favorite vacation spot is the Bahamas and likes coaching kids as one of his hobbies… Son of Emmanuel and Stephanie and his a brother, Amhose.
