Was a member of the College of Charleston baseball team for two seasons…In 2011, batted .286 with 11 home runs and 51 RBI…The previous season, was named First Team All-Southern Conference when he hit .335, had 16 HR and 69 RBI…Was also chosen as part of the Myrtle Beach Regional All-Tournament Team for his performance in the NCAA Tournament.

Played for coach Carlos Marti at Hialeah High…Named a Rawling Preseason All-American prior to the 2007 season, and afterwards, was chosen Second Team All-Dade.

Born in Hialeah, Florida…Looking to attain his master's degree in Public Administration…Most memorable athletic achievement was making it to the finals of the 2010 NCAA Myrtle Beach Regional…Was chosen in the 17th round by the Minnesota Twins in the 2007 Major League Baseball Draft…Favorite movie is Saving Private Ryan, and his favorite TV show is How I Met Your Mother …Son of Jose Luis and Jacquline Rodriguez…Has two sisters, Annie and Elizabet.
