Biography
AS A JUNIOR (2013)
Towne earned All-Region honors for his performance at the Peach Belt Conference Championships in the pole vault event...He placed third in the event with a leap of 4.40-meters, respectively...Towne also competed in the javelin throw and placed ninth with a throw of 35.42m.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2012)
Reached a height of 4.03m in the pole vault at the first meet of the season (3/2)…For the javelin, threw a distance of 38.00m garnering him a fifth place win at the UM Hurricana Invite (3/16)…At the University of Miami meet, finished sixth overall for the javelin event (4/14).
AS A FRESHMAN (2011)
At the first meet of the season, places second in the pole vault with a 3.95 m toss at the Embry-Riddle Indoor-Outdoor Challenge (1/22)…In the pole vault, gets a third place win (3/17)…Gets a career best at Miami Invite placing fifth with a toss of 4.10 meters (3/19)…Places fourth at NCAA Division II South Regional’s (4/24).
HIGH SCHOOL
Member of the track and field team at South Walton High School for four years…Participated on soccer, wrestling, weight lifting, and cross country teams.
