AS A JUNIOR (2012-13)
Swam at the NCAA championships in the 1,650 and 1,000-yard freestyle events. She was named to the Sunshine State Conference second-team. At the SSC championships, Akoubian placed third in both the 1,000 and 1,650-yard freestyle with times of 10:20.21 and 17:12:14, respectively. She placed seventh in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:37.42. At the Shark Invitational, she placed fourth in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:25.08. She placed 19th in the 500-yard freetyle with a time of 5:03.55.
CAREER
Swam under Rick Creed at Mill Creek High School…also swam two years under Donald Gibb at Daytona State College…was part of the Swim Atlanta club team.
PERSONAL
Business major….Daughter of Jamie and Casey, has two sisters Sammy ( who also swims for NSU) and Sydney
