AS A SENIOR (2017-18)
Earned two individual SSC Champion titles and two golds from the relays in her final season with the Sharks… at the SSC Championship meet, she finished first in the 100 breast (1:02.26) and in the 200 breast (2:15.59) while grabbing fourth in the 200 IM (2:04.92) and sixth in the 400 IM (4:29.44)… in the relays, Westman and her fellow Sharks set conference, championship meet and NSU records in the 200 medley relay (1:40.31) and the 400 medley relay (3:41.86)… earned 11th place in both the 100 breast and the 200 breast at the 2018 NCAA Div. II Championships… also at the NCAA Div. II Championships she helped the 200 medley and the 400 medley each earn the bronze with times of 1:41.00 and 3:43.17, respectively… was named an All-American in the 200 and 400 medley and an Honorable All-American in the 100 and 200 breaststroke, while finding her name on the All-SSC First Team… finished second in the 100 breast at the Spartan Invitational and third in the 200 breast… took second in the 200 breast at the Div. II Fall Showcase… finished third in the 200 breast at the Shark Invitational.
AS A JUNIOR (2016-17)
As an NCAA Championship finalist, Westman claimed 3rd in the 100-yard Breaststroke (1:00.94), and the 200-yard Breaststroke with a best time of 2:13.89…Took 12th in the 200-yard Individual Medley with a best time of 2:02.65…Assisted the women’s team to finish 3rd in the 800-yard Freestyle Relay (7:22.72), 4th in the 400-yard Medley Relay (3:42.59), and 6th in the 200-yard Medley Relay (1:42.60)…Westman blazed across the pool with a best time both the 100-yard Breaststroke (1:01.43) and 200-yard Breaststroke (2:14.24) to claim the titles at the SSC Championships…Finished 3rd in the 200-yard Individual Medley (2:04.14) and 5th in the 400-yard Individual Medley (4:28.02)…Assisted the 200-yard Medley Relay (1:42.98) and the 400-yard Medley Relay (3:44.39) claim the title and first place…During regular season, Malin Westman won 1st place at the FIU Tri-Meet against Florida International in the 100 and 200 Breaststroke with NCAA qualifying times of 1:04.91 and 2:17.91; later to drop the times to 1:03.88 and 2:17.69 at the Dual meet against the Tampa Spartans…Continued to dominate the women’s breaststroke events, this time posting a winning time of 2:16.10 in the 200.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2015-16)
Had the following finishes at NCAA Championships: fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:01.79) setting a new NSU record and career high time; 10th in the 200-yard IM (2:03.86) with a personal best time; ninth as part of the 800-yard freestyle relay (7:30.25); 13th as part of the 200-yard medley relay (1:44.12); 10th in the 400-yard medley relay (3:47.81); and 15th in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:18.64)…Received the following honors: 200-yard breaststroke All-American; 200-yard IM All-American Honorable Mention; 200-yard medley relay All-American Honorable Mention; 400-yard medley relay All-American Honorable Mention; 800-yard freestyle relay All-American Honorable Mention; 200-yard breaststroke All-American Honorable Mention…Earned the following finishes at SSC Championships: second in the 200 IM (2:04.38); second in the 100-breast (1:02.67); third in the 200-breast (2:16.88); and fourth in the 400-yard IM (4:28.02)…Named to the All-SSC First Team…Top regular season finishes include: first in the 100-breast (1:05.62) and 200-breast (2:19.53) and second in the 200 IM (2:08.73) versus Tampa; second in the 1000-yard freestyle (10:43.18) against Lynn; first in the 400 IM (4:42.68) and second in the 200-yard butterfly (2:14.55) versus Rollins.
AS A FRESHMAN (2014-15)
Had the following finishes and honors at NCAA Championships: 10th in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:03.18); 11th in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:16.74); 15th in the 400-yard IM (4:27.34); 200-yard medley relay All-American; 400-yard medley relay All-American; 100-yard breaststroke All-American Honorable Mention; 800-yard freestyle relay All-American Honorable Mention; 200-yard breaststroke All-American Honorable Mention…Claimed the following at SSC Championships: second in the 100-breast (1:02.57) with a new NSU record time; second in the 200-breast (2:14.46) breaking the school record and setting a career high time; third in the 200-yard IM (2:04.53); and third in the 400 IM (4:26.37) with a personal best time…Named to the All-SSC First Team…Earned SSC Swimmer of the Week honors after posting a first-place NCAA B-Standard time of 2:20.86 in the 200-breast and taking two more first-place finishes over the Tampa Spartans…Broke the SSC Championship meet record as part of the 200-medley relay (1:42.53) and 400-meldey relay (3:45.75) teams that placed first…Set the overall conference records as part of the 200-medley relay (1:41.93, school record) and 400-medley relay (3:45.51) teams…Put up personal best times in the 500-yard freestyle (5:05.13) and 1000-yard freestyle (10:20.56) at the Shark Invitational...Swam a career high time of 1:53.50 in the 200-yard freestyle at SSC Championships…12 first-place finishes with four in the 100-breast and five in the 200-breast.

Born in Molndal, Sweden… Daughter of Gunnar and Ann Westman… She has one sibling Emma… Her most memorable athletic achievement was when she won age nations with her team in the 2012 European Youth Olympic Festival… Enjoys being with friends and family, traveling, and reading.
