Biography
AS A SENIOR (2019-20)
Named to the Spring SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll…Raced both boats in the fall and competed with the eights in one spring race against Barry…Member of the Sharks’ B boat during the Head of the Indian Creek Varsity 8 Collegiate Championship, pushing to a split-second finish (0.6 seconds) ahead of Barry's B boat to place sixth overall at 16:29.29 on the 4,000m course, also placing sixth in 17:23.51 during the Varsity 4 Collegiate Championship…Senior season cut short with events canceled nationwide due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
AS A JUNIOR (2018-19)
Named to the Spring SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll…Consistent role in the Sharks’ varsity four throughout the season…Closed out the season helping the varsity four row to a heat-winning 8:35.643 at the Jefferson Dad Vail, overcoming a bumpy start to finish fourth in a very fast 7:19.139… Earned second-place varsity four finish at the Sunshine State Conference Championships, completing a hard-fought comeback to cross the line at 7:40.00, helping the Sharks to a third-place team finish…Earned the silver medal in Division II fours at the FIRA Championships at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, finishing in a time of 7:51.59…Collected a sixth-place varsity four finish in 8:06.40 at the SIRA Championships in Oak Ridge, Tenn.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2017-18)
Named to the 2018 SSC Spring Commissioner Honor Roll... Raced in the fall with the third varsity four boat that finished third at Head of Indian Creek (17:23.00)…Later finished sixth with the second varsity eight at the Mad Hatter Invitational.
AS A FRESHMAN (2016-17)
Raced with the novice eight that placed second at the FIRA Championship with a time of 7:31.20.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Rowed for the club coach John Brisson at the Pelham Community Rowing Association…Received the Scholar Athlete Award from her club crew…Played three years of lacrosse at Valhalla High School…Multiple honor roll member and part of the National Honor Society and World Language Honor Society.
PERSONAL
Will major in athletic training…Born and raised in White Plains, N.Y. by parents Wendell and Tanya Orr…Heavily involved in community service activities including assisting at the "Bringing Joy to the Children" Toy Drive and working with Habitat for Humanity, the food bank for Westchester Inc., Parkway Homes Civic Association fundraising and working at a lacrosse clinic for third through sixth graders…Favorite food is macaroni and cheese…Enjoys watching Empire and doing martial arts…Favorite athlete is Gabby Douglas.
