AS A JUNIOR (2018-19)
Was crowned the SSC Champion in the 100 fly with a personal-best time of 55.48… placed sixth in the 200 IM (2:03.85), seventh in the 200 breaststroke (2:20.60) and ninth in the 100 breast in 1:04.26, all season-best times… was named to the All-SSC Second Team… posted a season-best time of 4:32.59 in the 400 IM at the 2018 Spartan Invitational, taking fifth in the event… grabbed six first-place finishes during the regular season… was named to the 2019 SSC Spring Commissioner’s Honor Roll, CSCAA Scholar All-American Team and was a recipient of a D2ADA Academic Achievement Award.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
2017-18 AT FSU
Finished eighth in the 200 breast with a time of 2:19.88 at the Auburn Invite…was also fourth in the 200 IM behind a persona best time of 2:04.02 and fifth in the 400 IM (4:27.86)…swam personal best times in the 200 IM (2:04.49) and 400 IM (2:27.60) at the GT Invite…finished 18th in the 200 IM and 20th in the 100 breast (1:05.47) at the meet.
2016-17 AT FGCU
As a freshman swam for FGCU at the 2017 CCSA Championships, finishing with her career-best time of 2:05.19 in the 200 IM…placed first in the 400 IM (4:33.91) in a meet against Florida Atlantic…earned a first place finish in the 200 Breast (2:21.36) and a second place finish in the 100 Breast (1:05.84) in a meet against Miami (Fla.)…competed in the Georgia Tech Invitational…finished fourth in the 100 Breast (1:05.91) in a meet against Southern California, CSU Bakersfield and Oregon State…competed in the 100 Breast, 200 Breast, 100 Fly and 200 IM at the NSU Sharks All-Florida Invitational.
HIGH SCHOOL
Holds three records at Westminster Academy including the 200 IM, 100 breast and as a part of the 200 medley relay…was the 2016 Pinnacle Award Winner…won bronze in the 100 breast at the 2016 FHSAA 1A State Championships earning All-American honors…was First-Team All-County Sun-Sentinel and Miami Herald…was the regional champ in the 100 breast in 2016.
PERSONAL
Daughter of David and Sarah Zubero with one brother, Daniel… majoring in occupational therapy… says her parents are the most influential people in her life because they have taught her so much about life and have always been supportive of her and her decisions no matter what.
