Attended and ran cross country at Tottenville High School... was an Indoor Track City Championship Individual Qualifier, Outdoor Track City Championship Individual Qualifier, NYC Mayor's Cup Varisty Team Champion, and New York State Cross Country Championship Team Qualifier her senior season... was named the Woman's Cross Country Captain and Staten Island Athletic Club Scholarship Recipient her senior season.
PERSONAL
Daughter of John and Nicole Smerina... has one sibling, Dayna... majoring in Public Health... likes NSU the most because of the sense of community here... the student-athletes are supported and encouraged to grow on and off the field... as a SAAC representative for the team, she has enhanced her leadership skills while engaging with the local community.
