2022 CROSS COUNTRY (GRADUATE STUDENT)
Earned Runner of the Week honors... finished first at the STU Bobcat (8/27) with a personal best time of 16:02.9 in the 5k... had a top 10 finish in the Embry-Riddle Cross Country Classic - College and Open (9/17)... ran personal bests in the 800m (27:22.0) and 10k (33:16.0).

2022 OUTDOOR (SENIOR)
Appeared in six meets for the Sharks, posting personal best times in the 3000 (8:48.98) , 5000 (14:59.81) , 1500 (4:14.22) , and 800 (2:03.81).

2021 CROSS COUNTRY (SENIOR)
Finished 18th in the 8k (25:54.5) at the Sunshine State Cross Country Championships (10/23/21)... competed at the NCAA Division II South Region Cross Country Championships (11/6/21) and had a PR in the 10k (34:19.2).

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE 
Opened the season at the FAU Invite (Aug. 31) with a 5k time of 16:05.39 for an 11th place finish and eight seconds faster than 2017… Came in 44th at the Fordham Fiasco (Sept. 8) with an 8k time of 28:11.61 … Ended the regular season with a season-best  8k time of 28:30.99 (16th overall) at the USF Invite (Oct. 12).  Clocked an 8k time of 28:00.30 for 48th overall at the ASUN Championship (Oct. 26).

HIGH SCHOOL
Attended Wiregrass Ranch High School and competed for coach Christopher Loth … two-time Sunshine Athletic Conference First Team All-Conference honoree … two-time FHSAA 4A Individual State Qualifier … named Wiregrass Ranch team MVP from 2015-17 … finished runner up in the 3200m at the Sunshine Athletic Conference Track & Field East Championships in 2016 and 2017 … individual qualifier in the 3200m at the 2017 FSU Relays … did start running until his sophomore year ... member of the National Honor Society, Rho Kappa Honor Society and Science National Honor Society.

PERSONAL 
Born Apr. 12, 1999 … son of Thomas and Christine Salerno … has one brother, Michael … biology major and environmental science minor … chose Nova because of the chance to pursue a Masters degree in Biological Studies and continue his athletic career … also participated in band and orchestra.
