Made 11 appearances and pitched 9.1 innings…Held a 3.86 ERA and held opposing batters to a .194 batting average…Only allowed four earned runs on the season and struck out 10 batters…Earned his lone win of the season against Florida Southern (5/1) by limiting the Mocs to one run and one hit in one inning pitched…After allowing two runs in his season debut, he did not allow another over the next six innings pitched.

AS A FRESHMAN (2010)
Made 13 appearances without a decision... Had a 3.38 earned run average in 16 innings pitched... Held opposing batters to a .167 batting average... Struck out 14 batters... Did not allow an earned run in his first four appearances... Struck out three batters without allowing a run in two and two-thirds innings at Barry (4/10/10).

CAREER
Played four years at Florida Christian High School under Ernie Padron...Was 5-2 as a senior and finished 11-8 in his high school career...Earned the Nails and Glove award.

Born in Miami, Fla...Criminal justice major...Most memorable athletic achievement was pitching a two-hit shutout vs. Miami Killian and finishing as State Runner-Up in 2006...Chose to attend NSU for the opportunity to compete in the Sunshine State Conference...Lists his parents as the most influential people in his life...Son of Fafael and Rocio Pena...Has three siblings, Omar, Georgette and Lisa.
