AS A REDSHIRT SENIOR (2019)*
Appeared in five games with two starts before the season was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic...Earned a 2-0 record with a team second-best 1.50 ERA in 18 innings of action...Struck out 15 opposing batters with five walks of the shortened season...Making his first appearance since 2018, debuted against No. 2 Colorado Mesa (2/7) in relief...After facing Newberry in relief, was integral in victories over No. 15 Barry and No. 13 Embry-Riddle in SSC road tilts, allowing a single run against each league opponent in back-to-back 4.2 and season-high 5.2 inning outings, combining for nine strikeouts...Named to the Spring SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll.

AS A SENIOR (2019)
Red-shirted the season following surgery due to an summer ball injury in 2018...Although injury stopped him from playing, was selected to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Preseason All-South Region second team.

AS A JUNIOR (2018)                                                                                                 
Acker was a mainstay all season in the Sharks rotation compiling a 6-1 record in 14 starts…Posted four games with over nine strikeouts including double digits on two separate occasions; a career high 12 batters fanned against Lynn (4/14) and 11 vs Eckerd (4/21)…Had a season high 8.0 innings of one run ball in a win over Palm Beach Atlantic (3/24)…Recorded at least 5.0 innings pitched in 10 of his 14 starts, including five outings that went over 7.0 innings…Finished the season second on the team in innings pitched, strikeouts and wins…Overall, threw 77.1 innings pitched, with a whopping 90 strikeouts, a complete game and an opponent’s batting average at a miniscule .250...prior to the season, was listed at No. 16 on the South Florida Collegiate League's pro prospects list.

PREVIOUS SCHOOLS
Came to NSU from Chipola College in Marianna, Fla., playing during the 2016 season under coach Jeff Johnson with 13 starts in 14 appearances for the Indians, registering a 5-0 record that included three complete games and two shutouts…Finished his sophomore season with a 2.56 ERA in a team third-most 66.2 innings, striking out 51 with only 19 walks on the year…named to the All-Panhandle Conference second team...Began his junior college career at Palm Beach State in Lake Worth, Fla., throwing 50.0 innings in 16 relief appearances, earning a 3-3 record with five saves and a 1.98 ERA…In his rookie year with PBS, Acker tallied 48 strikeouts versus 13 walks for an 8.64 strikeouts per nine innings average.

Majoring in General Studies with concentrations in Psychology and Communications, along with a minor in Film Studies...Brother Jason joined the Sharks pitching corps as a freshman prior to the 2020 season...also has one sister, Britnee Malloy-Acker...Son of Bill and Janine...Most memorable athletic achievement was his complete game shutout in the State Semifinals at Chipola College...Chose NSU for the family environment of the program.
