AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2023)
Appeared in two games, throwing 3.2 innings. 

AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2022)
Appeared in seven games in relief... In 6.1 innings, Nichols struck out nine batters and allowed just eight hits against the 36 batters he faced.

AS A FRESHMAN (2021)
Redshirted his first year with the program.

HIGH SCHOOL
Was a four-year letterman in baseball at Suncoast Community High School in Riviera Beach, Florida under coach Jimmy Beno...Earned Rookie of the Year and late was named All-District in 2019 and 2020... Started his season with a career-high batting average (.292) and slugging percentage (.417) with 24 games played before the season was cut short...As a junior, he batted .291 with seven RBI and four extra base hits, also pitching with a 2.17 ERA in 11 appearances, collecting two wins and one save with 54 strikeouts and just 26 walks...Played summer ball in the Collegiate League of the Palm Beaches.
