Bryan Morgado

Morgado enters his second season as the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator for Nova Southeastern, after joining the Sharks under Head Coach Adrian Morales in 2024. 

In his first season at NSU. Morgado's pitching staff led the Sunshine State Conference in strikeouts (405). Morgado also oversaw the development of Frank Elissalt, who was a 19th round draft selection of the New York Mets. 

Prior to joining Nova Southeastern, Morgado was the pitching coach at Miami-Dade College alongside Morales for three seasons. At Miami-Dade, Morgado's staff had the top earned run average in the state of Florida (3.97/2023). MDC had three pitchers earn all-conference honors - 2021 Fireman of the Year (William Silva), 2022 Pitcher of the Year (Andy Rodriguez) and 2023 Pitcher of the Year (Herick Hernandez). With Morales and Morgado, Miami-Dade qualified for the Junior College State Championship all three years, winning the state title in 2021, finishing as runner-up in 2022 and as a semi-finalist in 2023. Additionally, Morgado oversaw the development of 13 pitchers who either went to NCAA Division I programs or signed professionally. 

Morgado, a South Florida native, attended Florida Christian where he was a two-time Miami Herald Pitcher of the Year. Collegiality, Morgado attended the University of Tennessee, where he was named a Freshman All-American (2008) and graduated with a bachelors degree in Sports Management. Morgado was drafted three times - 2006/Boston Red Sox/34th Round; 2008/Chicago White Sox/3rd Round; 2010/Philadelphia Phillies/4th Round - signing with the Phillies. 

Bryan is married to Michelle Morgado and the couple has two children, Miley and Bryan Jr.
