For the LaCrosse Loggers of the Northwoods League, DiBenedetto recorded a save in 15 relief outings, with 15 strikeouts in 16 innings, and 15 hits allowed, for a batting average against of just .242, only four of which were for extra bases. In his last 13 games, he struck out 13 batters and allowed just 10 hits in 14 innings, with a 4.61 ERA and .200 opponent average. He struck out at least one batter in 11 of those last 13 games, and didn't allow a run in seven. He pitched a season-high 2.2 scoreless and hitless innings in a 10-4 victory on July 15th, also matching a season-high with two strikeouts.

AS A JUNIOR (2016)
Made 13 appearances out of the bullpen and one start for the NCAA Division II National Champion Sharks, 11 of which were Sharks victories, including each of the last nine games he pitched in… Made his first appearance for the Sharks on Opening Night against Tusculum, with season highs of 3.1 innings and four strikeouts… Earned his first save by striking out both batters he faced in a 4-2 win in the second game of a double-header at Alabama-Huntsville… Made his first start the next day, in the second game of another double-header at Alabama-Huntsville… Had a 1.80 ERA in his last 11 games of the season, with nine strikeouts in ten innings, including a scoreless inning in each of the NCAA South Regional (in an 11-4 victory over West Georgia on May 19) and NCAA National Tournaments (in a 12-1 win over Lander on May 31) en route to the first National Championship in program history… Compiled a 6.35 ERA in 17 innings of work on the year with 21 hits allowed and 16 strikeouts to 12 walks.

Attended Seton Hall University for two years. As a sophomore, DiBenedetto made 20 appearances, all in relief... Went 2-2 with a 3.13 ERA in 23.0 innings pitched... Led Seton Hall with three saves... Gave up earned runs in only three of his 20 appearances this season... Opposing batters hit just .225 against him... Tied for fifth in the BIG EAST with 14 games finished...
