Played four years of baseball at Sarasota HS in Sarasota, Fla., as well as one year of football… His baseball coach was Florida High School Hall of Famer Clyde Metcalf, the recipient of the 2015 National Coach of the Year award by the National High School Athletic Coaches Association, and winner of 805 games and six state championships in 33 years… With zero errors in his senior year, helped lead the team to Coach Metcalf’s third state runner-up finish.
