PREVIOUS SCHOOLS
Attended Shorter University in Rome, Ga. for two years, appearing in the 2019 and 2020 seasons for the Eagles... In 2019, started 42-of-42 games played for Shorter and batted .383 with 27 RBI and 18 runs, collecting 11 doubles and three home runs... Before the season was cut short in 2020, he started 10-of-13 games for the Eagles, batting .250 with seven runs, two doubles and six walks... Named to the 2020 NCBWA Preseason All-South First Team as a designated hitter... Was also named to the All-Gulf South Conference First Team as a utility player and received ABCA/Rawlings First Team All-South Region honors as a designated hitter.

Previously spent two years at SSC foe Barry University in Miami Shores... Played in nine games as a red-shirt freshman in 2018, recording at least one hit in five games... Hit .667 with a double and an RBI... Had season-high two hits, including a double at Embry-Riddle (Apr. 28) ... Had a hit and drove in a run in only plate appearance vs. Florida Southern (Feb. 24) ... Had a single and scored a run in only at-bat of 13-4 win over Molloy (March 11) ... Singled in pinch hit appearance of 13-4 win over Adelphi (March 15) ... Named to the Athletic Director's List and Sunshine State Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll in the spring... Red-shirted the 2017 season... Named to the Athletic Director's List in the fall and the Dean's List and Sunshine State Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll in the spring.

Was a three-year letterman in baseball at Barbara Goleman Senior High School in Miami Lakes, Florida under coach Jose Lopez...Earned Second Team All-Dade honors and was Honorable Mention in 2015... Was a Top 15 percent graduate in his class...GMAC Champion.

Healthcare Administration Major... Son of Albert Heras and Ivonne Avendano... Has two sisters, Alyssa and Sophia...
