Biography

AS A SENIOR (2015)
Named to the SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll with a 4.0 GPA…Served as Division II SAAC Chair, the highest position for a student-athlete in all of DII…Led the pitching staff and third in the SSC in starts (15)… Recorded nine strikeouts in six innings in a 5-3 victory over Southern New Hampshire (2/13), at the time tying his career high…Struck out a new career-high and team season high 10 batters in a 5-2 complete game victory against Florida Southern (3/20), for which he was named SSC Pitcher of the Week…Finished the season with a 6-6 record and 4.59 ERA in 82.1 innings pitched, recording 69 strikeouts to just 19 walks…Finished his NSU career tied with Miles Mikolas for fifth all-time in games started (32) and third in the NCAA era in innings pitched (203.1)…Signed with the Normal Cornbelters of the Frontier League.

AS A JUNIOR (2014)
Baroniel was the team's ace, starting in all 13 games he played in...Finished the season with a 5-2 record overall and pitched in a team high 89.2 innings...Finished with the second lowest ERA among starting pitchers on the team at 2.81...Finished with the most strikeouts on the team with 48...Pitched a complete game in a 5-3 win against Saint Leo (3/21)...Pitched a seven-inning complete game shutout in a 3-0 win at home against Philadelphia...Recorded a season-high nine strikeouts in a 15-3 win over Albany State (2/7)...Went eight innings and allowed just one earned run in the opening game of the season against Tusculum, where the Sharks won 2-1...Pitched six innings or more in all but one game in 2014.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2013)
Third on the squad in appearances, with all 15 games coming out of the bullpen…Had a 2-1 record, including a win against Florida Tech on the season's final day (5/10)…Struck out 22 in 19 1/3 innings, and only walked seven opposing batters…Had a season-high four punchouts against five hitters in a scoreless 1 2/3 innings against St. Thomas (2/12)…In eight of his appearances, he did not allow an earned run…Picked up his other victory against Columbus State (2/2), in a three-inning stint where he struck out three…Combined with three of his teammates in a 3-hit shutout of Bentley (3/3), striking out two in an inning of work…Pitched a perfect ninth inning to pick up his first collegiate save against Adelphi (3/13).

AS A FRESHMAN (2012)
In his first season, started four games among his seven appearances, going 1-0 with a 5.16 ERA…His victory came in a start against West Alabama (2/26), when he gave up only three runs in five innings of work, striking out four…Combined with two other pitchers for a shutout of Albany State (2/3) in the season opener, striking out three in two innings to close out the game…His career high of seven strikeouts came against Southern New Hampshire (3/6), in five innings…Averaged over a strikeout an inning, with 23 in 22.2 innings on the mound.
