Steinbach arrived in Fort Lauderdale as spending 2020 with the University of Illinois, following a slugging NJCAA All-Region performance in his first two years at Parkland College in Illinois. In the shortened 2020 season at Illinois, Steinbach was third on the team with a .300 average in 10 starts and 12 outings…As a sophomore, his splits were 343/.431/.686, with 11 doubles, nine triples, 10 home runs and 50 RBI…Led Parkland to a runner-up finish at the 2018 NJCAA National Championship…As a freshman, batted .313 with two doubles, three home runs and 23 RBI, aiding Parkland to an NJCAA Runner-up finish.
 
HIGH SCHOOL
Was a four-year letterman in baseball at Plainfield North High School in Plainfield, Illinois under coach John Darlington...Illinois All-State Honors SPC All-Conference… Led Plainfield North to fourth place in the 2016 state playoffs…Batted .392 with 11 home runs and 47 RBI during his high school career, also playing football and basketball.
