PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Denney was at Bedford North Lawrence HS in Bedford, Ind., before making the move to Norwell HS as a senior...Denney helped Norwell to an 18-7 record as a senior, averaging 14.2 points, 9.5 rebounds, making 56 percent of his field goal attempts and 44 percent (17 of 38) of his three-pointers...Besides earning all-conference and honorable mention all-state awards as a senior, Denney was chosen to the Border Wars All-Star Game pitting the best players from northern Indiana against the best from northern Ohio...In that game, Denney collected eight points and five rebounds and impressed coaches with his lock down defense.
