Biography

AS A JUNIOR (2016)
Started 57 of 58 games played for the NCAA Division II National Champion Sharks, primarily as the second baseman and leadoff hitter… Played 48 games as the starting second baseman and nine as the starting shortstop, and 51 games out of the leadoff spot and six in the two-hole… Set the program’s single-season record for at bats, previously held by Shawn Langlois’ 228 in 2007, with 246… Led the team with two four-hit games, the first of which came on Mar. 4 in a 19-6 win over Eckerd, with two runs scored and driven in, a double and a stolen base… Completed the series sweep the next day with a season-high three RBI in a 2-for-4 performance with a double and his first home run as a Shark… Matched his season-high of four hits in an 8-3 victory at Barry on Apr. 1, as well as a season-high three runs scored and his first career multi-home run game, to bring his season total from one to three… Completed another series sweep the next day with another home run in the first game of the doubleheader and three hits, two  doubles and three runs scored in the nightcap… Stole 15 bases out of 18 attempts, with a season-high two stolen bases in an 11-5 win against Embry-Riddle on Apr. 22… Had five multi-hit games in the Sharks’ ten post-season games, hitting safely in all but one, en route to the program’s first-ever National Championship… Hit the walk-off single in the first game of the NCAA National Championship Tournament, a 4-3 win over Franklin Pierce in 12 innings… Finished the season with 73 hits and a .297 batting average, as well as 44 runs scored and 33 runs batted in… Exhibited the best plate discipline on the team, with only 18 strikeouts in 279 plate appearances, a 6.5% rate, and struck out multiple times in a game just once… Drew 20 walks and wore three pitches for an on-base percentage of  .349… Collected 18 extra-base hits – 11 doubles, one triple and six home runs – for a .423 slugging percentage… Laid down four sacrifice bunts and added six sacrifice flies.

SUMMER 2015
Played eight games for Russ Milliken and the Phipps Park Barracudas of the South Florida Collegiate Baseball League, hitting .292.

PREVIOUS SCHOOL
Attended Palm Beach State College in Delray Beach, Fla. for two years, playing for All-Southern Conference Coach of the Year Kyle Forbes… Won 2015 Defensive Player of the Year award in both the Southern Conference and the Florida State College Activities Association (NJCAA Region VIII)… All-Southern Conference Second Team infielder in 2014, when he hit .301 in a team-high 51 games and 193 at bats, and First Team infielder in 2015, when he hit .332 in 56 games… Turned 69 double plays in his career.

HIGH SCHOOL
Attended the Elev|8 Sports Institute/Bucky Dent Baseball School in Lake Worth, Fla. for two years, playing under Head Coach Tommy Murphy… A Florida All-Region Honorable Mention in 2013 by Perfect Game.
