Biography
AS A JUNIOR (2012-13)
Fall 2012: Taylor captured two victories and two runner-up finishes in four fall tournaments... Started season off with runner-up finish at Brockyard Crossing, shooting season low, seven-under, 65 (65-68-75--208)... Captured another runner-up finish in the teams victory at the Guy Harvey Invitational, which he had a huge part in, shooting (67-70-73-210)...Captured medalist honors at the Otter Invitational for second consecutive year, shooting (71-71-70--212)...Backed up his victory with second consecutive medalist honors at the McDonough Cup (72-72-74--218)...Qualified for the prestigious Western Refining College All-American Golf Classic as the only Division II competitor, finishing eighth (71-67-67-205).
Spring 2013: Finished season nationally ranked No. 2... Selected as the only NCAA Division II golfer to be named to the Ben Hogan Watch List...Announced as 2013 Division II PING All-America First-Team selection...2013 Sunshine State Conference Player of the Year for second consecutive year… 2013 All-SSC First Team member...SSC Golfer of the Week (4/8/13)... Started the spring off with a third-place finish at the St. Edward's invitational (77-70-69--216), helping his team capture the victory...Finished in 31st-place at the Bobcat Invitational...Captured medalist honors in the teams victory at the Buccaneer Invitational (71-66-67--204), which was his lowest torunament total of the season, nine-under, 204...Captured sixth at the Florida Blue SSC Championship (75-70-70--215)...Claimed medlaist honors once again in the teams first ever NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional Championship (70-71-69--210)...Finished the season with a 24th-place finish at the NCAA Division II National Championships with a third-place team finish, falling in the semi finals.
Amateur Career:
Selected to compete in the 2013 Palmer Cup, representing Europe, June 7-9, featuring the top-10 collegiate players in the United States against their counterparts from Great Britain and Ireland. Taylor will be representing Europe as the only Division-II golfer selected by either teams. Taylor is also the only golfer to be selected in the history of the Sharks program.
AS A SOPHMORE (2011-2012)
Fall 2011: Taylor captured one victory and a runner-up finish in four fall tournaments…At the Adams Cup of Newport (9/20/11), Taylor finished eighth shooting even in three rounds (69-70-76)…At the NSU Invitational (10/11/11) the Sharks finished runner-up with Taylor taking fifth with a one-under (74-73-68)…His first victory this season came during the Otter Invitational (10/25/11), shooting five-under over three rounds, leading to a fourth place team finish…Placed second in the Marjorie Whitney Invitational (11/01/11), shooting +1 (72-67-78) leading to a team victory.
Spring 2012: Recipient of the Jack Nicklaus Award as Division II Player of the Year...Announced to the 2012 All-Nicklaus Team, which recognizes players from Division I, II, III, NAIA and NJCAA for their outstanding play during the past collegiate season...Announced as 2012 Division II PING All-America First-Team selection… 2012 Sunshine State Conference Player of the Year… 2012 All-SSC First Team member… SSC Golfer of the Week (4/5/12)...Member of the Sharks' GCAA All-Academic Team…Selected to the SSC Academic Honor Roll…At the UNO Mardi Gras Invitational (2/28/12), Taylor captured second, shooting -2 (73-69-72) team finished fifth…Finished second at St. Edward’s Invitational (3/16/12) in a team victory, shooting a -3 (67-74-72)…Tied fifth at Bobcat Intercollegiate (3/20/12) with his season low round 66 and three round season low 206... Won SSC Championship (4/17/12), shooting even par (77-72-67), leading NSU to the team title… Took second overall at NCAA DII South/S.E. Regional (5/9/12) of 108 golfers, shooting -5 (71-70-70) in teams third place finish… Finished third shooting a -8 (70-69-69—208) at the NCAA Chhampionships (5/19/12), contributing to NSU’s first national title… Finished with a 70.94 stroke average over 33 rounds in 11 tournaments with two victories, four runner-ups, three top-five finishes this season.
Amateur Career: Taylor finished third at The Jones Cup Invitational (2/5/11), featuring the best collegiate golfers in the country… Played internationally for The Sir Michael Bonallack Trophy (4/27/12) which is an international match with the best players from Europe and Asia-Pacific, played in Portugal at the Monte Rei Golf and Country Club, Taylor contributed to Europe’s victory…Taylor was named to the Great Britain and Ireland squad to compete for the 2012 St. Andrews Trophy to be played at Portmarnock Golf Club, Ireland, on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1.

Recieved International Sportsman and Most Valuable Sportsman honors in high school...Also participated in cricket, rugby, tennis and hockey in high school.
