Biography
HIGH SCHOOL
Swam at Winter Park High School for four years… During his senior season he took first at states in the 200y medley relay, sixth in the 200y individual medley and eleventh in the 500y freestyle… At regional’s he finished second in the 200y individual medley and third in the 500m freestyle… Finished first in districts in the 200y individual medley, 500y freestyle and 200y medley relay.
CLUB EXPERIENCE
Swam for the Swim Orlando YMCA club team for head coach Mel Nash… Was listed as a top ten swimmer in the state for several events.
PERSONAL
Planned academic major is biology… His most memorable athletic achievement was when he won the 1000y freestyle at the Junior Olympics when he was fourteen… Lists a Cuban sandwich as his favorite food and Dave Chappelle as his favorite actor… His favorite movie is Gladiator and television show is Sponge Bob Square Pants… Son of Ricardo and Dena Duran and has six siblings.
