Biography

AS A JUNIOR (2021)
Set a new javelin career best in his first meet of the season (2/20), hitting 32.06m (105-2) for first place at the South Florida Challenge #1...Achieved a career-high 42.20m (138-5) in the discus for second place at the South Florida Challenge #3 (3/13)...Rounded out Senior Day and the home slate with a fourth-place, career-best 10.80m (35-5.25) in the shot put at the South Florida Challenge #4 (4/17)...At the Peach Belt Championships in Daytona Beach, earned third place in the discus at 39.44m (129-5), eighth place in the hammer throw at 24.53m (80-6), as well as ninth in the shot put and 12th in the javelin. At the annual Sharky's Awards, was honored with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Male Athlete of the Year Award and was named the Ultimate Shark (MVP) for the men's track and field team.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2020)
Competed in one competition before the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic brought the season to a halt...Earned second place in the shot put with a new personal best of 10.52m (34-6.25) at the NSU Sharks Invitational (2/22), also earning third on his first collegiate javelin toss of 29.07m (95-4).

AS A FRESHMAN (2019)
Competed in seven meets during his first season with the Sharks, earning first place in both the discus (121-9) and shot put (77-6) to open his career at the NSU Sharks Invitational (2/23)...Set a career-best hammer throw mark of 24.77m (81-3) at the Embry-Riddle Spikes Classic (3/29), finishing 13th...Logged a season-best discus throw of 39.02m (128-0) to score for the Sharks with a sixth-place finish at the Peach Belt Championships in Daytona Beach, also hitting a season-best 9.79m (32-1.5) in the shot put at PBC.

HIGH SCHOOL
Attended Roaring Fork High School in Carbondale, Colorado, where he threw for four years under coach Ryan Erickson, also playing four years of football for the Rams...Recorded his personal bests of 40-1 in the shot put and 141-8 in the discus...Earned seventh place at the 2018 Colorado 3A State Track and Field Championships with a discus mark of 140-3...Earned honors as Head Boy at Roaring Fork High School and was Team Captain in both football and track...Received academic honors from the National Society of High School Scholars.
