Biography

AS A SENIOR (2020)
Started three of eight games played in 2020… did not record a hit but made it on base three times thanks to one walk and being hit by a pitch twice… had one sacrifice hit… was named to the 2020 Spring Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

AS A JUNIOR (2019)
Saw action in 26 games, making 24 starts for the Sharks… posted a .210 batting average with 13 hits and six runs scored… hit two homeruns, East Stroudsburg (Feb. 10), at Barry (Mar. 10)… tallied five RBI on the season… was hit by seven pitches and had two walks… recorded four multi-hit games, including a perfect 3-for-3 at Florida Southern (Feb. 15)… did not commit an error the entire season, notching 26 putouts… named to the 2019 Spring Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Anderson transfers to NSU after spending her first two collegiate years at Highland Community College alongside her teammates Baldridge and Hernandez. As a freshman, she averaged a .417 batting average to go alongside 12 homers, 59 RBI, 56 runs scored and 18 stolen bases. Her next year, she improved to a .487 batting average with 12 home runs, 60 RBI, 64 runs and eight stolen bases. She was fifth in the nation in on-base percentage at .599 and her 64 runs were a team high. She was ninth in the nation in doubles with 22 and she set a new school record in total walks in a season with 33, placing her seventh in the nation. From her outstanding two seasons, she was named to both the 2017 and 2018 All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) First Team and All-Region, District D First Team. In 2018, she earned a spot on the Fastpitch News Division II All-American First Team and NJCAA All-American Third Team. She also was named to both the 2017 NJCAA All-Academic All-American Third Team and 2018 NJCAA All-Academic All-American First Team.

PERSONAL
Born in Gardner, Kan…. daughter of Steve and Deanne Anderson and has two sisters, Ashlyn and Laicey… majoring in exercise and sports science… says Heidi and Scott Jordan have influenced her life the most because they believed in her when she didn't even believe in herself and they pushed her to become the best athlete, team mate, and person possible.
