Amanda Leon joined the Sports Medicine staff at Nova Southeastern in June 2018 and currently works with the women's soccer and softball teams. Amanda is an NSU alumni who completed her Bachelor’s in athletic training. In addition, she will serve as the injury prevention and rehabilitation coordinator.
Prior to NSU, Leon completed her Master’s in Sports Medicine at Georgia State University in 2014. Leon has worked in a variety of settings including high school, collegiate, and professional sports. Her most recent position was as a teacher/ assistant athletic trainer at Marietta High School in Marietta, Ga. Here Leon led the healthcare science program, which included the sports medicine and exercise physiology pathway, as well as covered athletics for the middle school and high school teams.
A Miami, FL native, Leon currently resides in Pembroke Pines, FL
