Brooklyn Kohlheim returns to NSU after serving as the assistant women's basketball coach at Florida Atlantic for the 2015-16 season. In 2015, she completed her fourth season as the assistant coach for women’s basketball at Nova Southeastern University.

Kohlheim has helped lead the Sharks to the best stretch in program history. This past season, 2014-15, was the team's third consecutive trip to the national Elite Eight as South Region Champions. They achieved the first No. 1 ranking in history, and finished No. 7 after a 27-6 season and the dual crown of Sunshine State Conference regular season and tournament champions.

In 2013-14, the team went 29-5 with a final national ranking of No. 3 and a berth in the National Semifinal round at the Elite Eight. They took home the SSC Tournament Championship as well as the South Region title for the second straight year.

That piggybacks off a 2012-13 campaign with a 23-9 overall record and a share of the SSC Regular Season Championship, earning them the top seed as host of the South Region Tournament. The Sharks swept to the South Region title, and moved on to an appearance in the NCAA Elite Eight.

In her first year with the squad, NSU had a 17-11 overall mark during the 2011-12 campaign, at the time the most wins since the 2007-08 season. NSU reached the Sunshine State Conference Tournament semifinals for the first time since the 2008-09 season under the leadership of Kohlheim and head coach LeAnn Freeland.

Prior to coming to NSU, Kohlheim worked under Freeland at the University of Indianapolis for two years, one as a graduate assistant and one as a full-time assistant. Over the year she spent as an assistant coach, Kohlheim compiled a 17-13 record while helping her team qualify for their fourth consecutive NCAA appearance. During her first year with the Greyhounds, where she was a graduate assistant, the team posted a 26-4 record and made its third-straight NCAA appearance.

Before going to UIndy, she served two seasons as the girl's head basketball coach at Bishop Verot Catholic High School in Fort Myers, Fla., while also teaching U.S. History. Before that she worked at Fort Myers High School as an assistant coach for girl’s basketball and taught Reading and Health.

Kohlheim, a 2001 graduate of Bishop Verot High School, played collegiate basketball at Florida Southern College where she was a four-year starter under Coach Diane Foli. There, she was named to the Sunshine State Conference All-Freshman Team in 2002 and led the Mocs to a SSC Tournament title and NCAA appearance in 2003. She finished as FSC's all-time leader in free throw percentage and 3-pointers made.

Kohlheim graduated in from FSC in 2005 with a B.A. in History and has also studied abroad in Costa Rica.
