McKenah Peters enters her first season as assistant coach for NSU Women’s basketball in 2022. After completing her last season of eligibility at NSU in 2021-2022, Peters was named to the All-SSC Second Team and Newcomer Team. Peters made her way into the NSU record book in only one season after she made 83 three pointers (3rd all-time) and shot 41% from three (6th all-time during the NCAA DII era). Peters graduated with a master’s degree in Sports Science from NSU in August 2022.

Before NSU, Peters played four years of Division I basketball at Youngstown State University. She was a three-year captain/starter for the Penguins and appeared in 107 games. Peters was chosen as the “Defensive Player of the Year” her sophomore year and the team’s “Impact Player of the Year” her junior year. In 2021, Peters received her bachelor’s degree in telecommunications studies with a sports broadcasting track and a minor in coaching.

McKenah Peters is from LaGrange, Ohio. She attended Keystone High School, where she holds multiple records including the All-Time Career Scoring record with 1907 points, as well as the Lorain County Girls All-Time Career Scoring Record. Her number (34) was retired in 2021.
